Our love story❤️
This wedding united two people from different worlds. The Groom, a city boy from Pretoria, and the Bride, a farm-town girl from Bronkhorstspruit, were brought together in the most unexpected way. Out of all places, God chose Johannesburg in 2017 for them to meet, as varsity sweethearts. What began as a university friendship quickly grew into something far deeper. Eight years of knowing one another, six years of engagement, and countless shared dreams later they stood before their family and friends, choosing each other forever.

Wedding planning journey.
Planning our wedding was not simply about organising an event; it was about telling our story. Every decision was intentional. We wanted a day that felt authentic to who we are; grounded, elegant, meaningful, and faith-filled.

From the beginning, we knew that the heart of our wedding would be the protea; my late mom’s favourite flower. The protea symbolises strength, transformation, and courage, which felt deeply personal to us. It became more than a floral choice; it became the soul of our celebration. The entire colour palette; soft neutrals, romantic blush tones, deep earthy greens, and textured natural elements (flowed from the protea). The décor was inspired by its bold beauty and organic elegance, blending refined sophistication with natural warmth.

The morning of our wedding began with rain; soft and steady. It felt symbolic, like a blessing being poured out over the start of our marriage. And just as we prepared to walk into our ceremony, the clouds parted, and the sun shone through. It was as if the heavens opened and then smiled upon us. That moment captured everything our wedding represented: faith, resilience, hope, and light after the rain. What made our wedding truly special was not only the aesthetic beauty, but the depth of meaning woven into every detail. Our wedding was not just a celebration: it was a promise, a blessing, and the beginning of forever.
