STORIE:

With a chapel set ontop of a vineyard-covered hill, nestled between the majestic Tulbagh mountains, we said ‘I do’ on a beautiful summer’s day. A champagne bottle exploded in my face, we ate pancakes for desert and danced till our feet hurt underneath the starry night sky, all-in-all, the perfect day. Luka and I were the classic best friends to lovers story. We could not wait to get married and start our lives together! After a year of checklists, a million emails and being what felt like part-time wedding planners, we had the most wonderful wedding day. It was filled with só much love, God’s undeniable presence, pink bougainvillea. It will forever be the day we remember as ‘the day I married my best friend.’

Montpellier was the first wedding venue we went to go view and we immediately fell in love with its quirky character, beautiful greenery, rich history and incredibly welcoming, friendly staff.

All our table decor was beautiful, modern Hertex decor. Everything from the exclusive serviettes, duck-egg blue table cloths, elegant gold utensils and classy blue and white plates, it was the definition of perfection. This was just further complimented by the most flawless bouquets. The tables came alive with Hydrangeas, dahlias, cosmos and fresh oranges and apricots scattered about the tables.

Food. Let’s talk food. From the most delecatable appitezers, gorgeous mains and super yummy pancakes, our caterer truly knocked it out of the park!

When talking about the dress, suit, make-up and hair, I think it is safe to say we both felt the most beautiful we have ever felt in our lives.

I feel like I could go on forever about all the special details on the day, like our showstopper wedding cake, baked with love by a close, family friend and a nostalgic table filled with all the wedding photos our our closest family. But alas…

We feel incredibly blessed to have had a magically unique celebration of our love and to have had such an unforgettable wedding day!
