STORIE:

Our wedding was planned with one clear purpose: to honour God and enter into a Christ-centred covenant. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect faith, meaning, and unity.

My sleeved wedding dress featured a transforming design—pure white with adjustable skirts—symbolising the love, grace, peace and change Jesus brings into our lives. The groom wore a forest-green suit with the groomsmen in green bow ties, representing growth, renewal, and a new unity, while the bridesmaids’ wine-red dresses reflected forgiveness and Jesus’ sacrifice. Together, our colours told a story of love, redemption, and new life.

Family and friends were involved in the planning and décor, helping to organise, design, and support us throughout. We added fun, personal elements such as puns and games on our outdoor boards and décor (“The Perfect Pear” at the pear drinks table and “Mint-to-Be” custom mint packages with our photo). We also chose a phone booth so guests could leave us audio messages and advice, making their words something we can treasure forever. A live artist created caricature sketches of our guests as keepsakes—reminders that each person is the Greatest Artist’s masterpiece.

Renaldo and grandad lovingly crafted a wooden cross together for our ceremony, which now resides in our home. Our grandparents also served as our ring bearers, reflecting the beauty of a lifelong marriage built on Christ. Wooden tables, lanterns, candlelight, and simple dried florals created a warm, intimate atmosphere, followed by communion and a shared tapas feast that brought everyone together. The menu was hand-drawn onto wallpaper across each table, inviting conversation and shared anticipation.
