STORIE:

We went to the same school and first met in 8th grade, but it wasn’t until 12th grade that our story really began when we started dating. Years later, my husband planned the proposal so well that both our families knew it was coming, except for me, which made the moment even more special and left me completely emotional and surprised. From the start, we envisioned a wedding that truly felt like us: a green, outdoorsy ceremony surrounded by nature, followed by an intimate indoor reception with the people who mean the most to us. Although our wedding was planned on a budget, we focused on what mattered most, creating a day that was meaningful, joyful, and full of fun. The day itself was packed with unforgettable moments, including a quiet pause during the ceremony when our pastor asked us to simply look into each other’s eyes and soak it all in, a moment we will cherish forever. There was also a perfectly unplanned laugh when I accidentally dropped my husband’s ring and nearly sent it into the river flowing beneath the deck, but thankfully our pastor saved the day just in time. More than anything, what made our wedding so special was being able to unite our marriage in front of the people who had watched our relationship grow over the years. Looking back, the day was absolutely perfect, and if we could relive it, we wouldn’t change a single thing. It was a celebration of our journey, our people, and our love, and a reminder that the most beautiful weddings aren’t about perfection, but about real moments, shared laughter, and memories that stay with you forever.
