STORIE:

Keanu and I met at University.
He lived in the apartment above me and we met through a mutual friend.
After she introduced us it was love at first sight. We also realised we study the exact same degree- financial accounting. After that, we spent all of our time together, attending class, making dinner, going out etc.

After a few months he asked me to be his girlfriend and we have been inseparable ever since. He is my best friend and the love of my life.

After graduating we got engaged the next year in June and decided we wanted to get married the same year.
We went venue hunting and after visiting Duck Point Venue we knew this was our dream wedding venue right next to the Vaal River, we live in Vereeniging and it is also my home town. They have the most amazing wedding cordinator Jean Prieur and fantastic Chef, Shaun.

After booking the date 6 December 2025 my Mother and I immediately starting planning the wedding.

I have always admired Anel Botha’s work and knew from the start I wanted her to make my wedding dress.
She made the whole process truly special and unforgettable.

After 6 months of hard work we finally arrived to the wedding weekend.

Every vision, idea and dream I had for my wedding came to life and without my parents, Jean Prieur and Sonja from sophia’s flowers that would not have been possible. My mom and dad were my biggest supporters, From my dad always being there for me to running around like crazy to make sure everything is perfect that weekend to him walking me down the aisle and making sure every guest got home safe to my mom hand-crafting all my invitations, planning my whole wedding with me and being involved throughout the whole process, even when she had to fix 2 of my bridesmaid’s dresses an hour before the ceremony. I cannot thank them enough.

I also want to thank my mother-and father-in law for their support with the wedding and for accepting me into their family from day one.

Every friend and family member that attended the wedding made our day truly special and my husband never leaving my side through the whole night is something I will always cherish.
