Our Wedding Story – A Celebration of Love, Laughter, and Us!
Planning our wedding was emotional — I had just lost my mother in 2023 and felt overwhelmed. But everything shifted when we found our venue. It brought a sense of peace and made the journey feel exciting and meaningful.
We wanted a day that reflected our love and who we are as a couple. From Pinterest boards to late-night planning sessions, every detail — from the music to the décor everything was chosen with heart.
I visited the dress designer alone, unsure and shy, but Inge made me feel confident. We ended up designing a one-of-a-kind dress that fit like a dream. My husband wore a custom light cream suit with a bullet boutonnière — a nod to his career as a professional hunter. Seeing him cry at the end of the aisle is a moment I’ll never forget.
Jenkins Creek Venue, with its natural beauty and rustic charm in the heart of the Karoo, was the perfect setting. The mix of greenery, white roses everywhere and candles sparkling and gold created an elegant, warm atmosphere.
What made our day truly special was the deep love we felt — not just between us, but from everyone there. From the clear blue sky to the heartfelt speeches and the packed dance floor, it was a celebration we’ll cherish forever.
